We have had so many favourable comments from members who were enthralled with your technique and artistry, and we look forward to hearing you both again in the not too distant future. The rapport between you both was superb and the flute playing truly inspiring. I only hope that other music clubs grasp the opportunity to hear you both perform
Welshpool Music Club
The feedback from orchestra and audience was that you are one of the best soloists we have ever had and it was a privilege to accompany you
Grampian Concert Orchestra, Aberdeen
Abbie’s first appearance with the MK Sinfonia was a terrific success. From our very first rehearsal Abbie demonstrated a relaxed and friendly professionalism which endeared her greatly to all those present making it a memorable musical collaboration for them. She has that rare ability to be a sparkling soloist but at the same time a listening and responsive ensemble player. Her technical command of the instrument is impressive to say the least. Many commented on her total mastery of even the most challenging of passages but also upon the vivid range of colours she produced in response to the wide range of often quickly changing moods in the Nielsen.
Abbie is a natural communicator. Her musicianship is engaging, infectious almost, bringing the music to life but also instinctively drawing the audience into the performance. She is most certainly one of the soloists who has given us the most and it won’t be long before she is invited back.
Milton Keynes Sinfonia
There were many remarks made last night about how enjoyable your visit had been for us, and the pleasure it gave. We would be very pleased indeed if you came back to play with the orchestra again. It was very good of you to come all this way to give us such an experience
Southwell Orchestral Society
Abigail never fails to captivate her audience. She has bought joy and pleasure to many people over the years. She is a fine young musician
Cornerstone Music, Milton Keynes
Most immediately apparent was her naturally expressive response to music, and her great –and infectious –joy in communicating it… there is no doubt that she has the capacity to enrich the lives of audiences everywhere with her characterful playing and personality
Director of Music, Purcell School
Abbie is a valued member of the 'Flutewise Team' and teaches and performs regularly on our day events and residential courses. Not only is she an accomplished flute player, but she is an excellent teacher. Her teaching style is warm, intuitive and inventive. Abbie's passion for the instrument is equalled by her interest in the people she teaches. It is a great pleasure and privilege to have her as part of the Flutewise Team
Liz Goodwin, Founder and Director of Flutewise
Imaginative, encouraging and excellent with children. A truly inspirational teacher!
Kate Grace, Director of Flute School London
...Then there were all the new games I learned from Abigail Burrows; she had kids clamouring for more scales with her methods
